Professional, compliant billing for law firms and consultancies

Legal and professional services firms bill differently from retail — retainers, milestone fees, disbursements, and recurring engagements. TxBilling handles the invoicing and e-Invoice layer while you stay focused on client work.

Common challenges

How TxBilling helps

Note on client accounts: TxBilling handles fee invoicing and e-Invoice compliance. It is not a client trust/disbursement accounting system — firms subject to Bar Council or professional body rules on client monies should continue to maintain those records separately and consult their compliance officer or accountant on how billing data should reconcile with trust accounts.

Law firm & professional services FAQ

Can I issue an e-Invoice for a retainer fee?

Yes — a retainer or milestone billing can be invoiced like any other professional fee. If a portion relates to disbursements versus fees, it's good practice to itemise these clearly on the invoice.

Do corporate clients need my TIN and their own TIN on the e-Invoice?

Yes, generally both the supplier's and buyer's TIN are required fields for e-Invoice validation on B2B transactions. TxBilling stores this once per client so you don't need to re-enter it every time. See What is a TIN Number?

Is TxBilling suitable for a firm with multiple partners billing separately?

Yes — role-based access lets multiple fee earners issue invoices under the same firm profile while keeping a shared, auditable record.
